Launch date and platforms
Cold Symmetry's sequel released on August 20, 2026, published by Playstack. The supported release platforms are Windows PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Store unlock hours, taxes and regional availability can differ even when the calendar date is shared.
The released game is single-player and expands the formula into a larger open world with more than 60 dungeons, eight permanent Shells, eight primary weapons and eight sidearms. Pre-release beta descriptions should not be used as the final feature or balance list.
Standard, Devout and physical editions
Standard edition
The Standard edition contains the base game. Official US publisher material listed it at $49.99. Check the current regional store for local currency, tax and discount.
Devout edition
The Devout edition combines the full game with its digital upgrade, including Obsidian cosmetic skins for the eight playable permanent Shells. The official US reference price was $59.99. Cosmetic contents do not change the eight-Shell completion count.
Physical collector information
A PlayStation 5 physical collector offering has been marketed with items such as an artbook, steel case, fine-art prints and digital extras. Physical names, stock and retail partners can vary, so verify the exact box contents on the seller page before ordering.
Price and purchase checks
Do not convert the US dollar list price into a promise for another region. Platform fees, taxes, retailer discounts and physical shipping affect the final cost. Confirm which edition is in the cart and whether an upgrade assumes ownership of the base game.
For PC, compare your exact hardware to the official minimum requirements before the refund window becomes a performance test. For console, verify storage, language and edition on the signed-in regional account.
Current patch boundary
This guide's mechanics and route pages are labeled for the Mortal Shell II Week 1 Patch on PC, build 25005568. Later PC hotfixes and console patch timing can diverge, so a build number is not silently generalized to every platform.
When an individual page depends on a value that patches can tune, it tells the reader to verify the live in-game tooltip. Location names and encounter structure are more stable than exact percentages, but both should still carry a revision date.
